This is one of the weeks where I&#39;m doubting my sanity. Why oh why did I decide to turn the entire historical section of my current novel into an Anglo-saxon Epic poem? We&#39;re drilled into emulating taut, hemingway-esque prose. That makes it really difficult writing an Anglo-Saxon-style poem where &#39;never use one word when you can use ten&#39; prevails. &quot;Bestower of jewels, took joy in the wine-pouring.&quot;

I&#39;m now at the &#39;how many times do you really need to say that&#39; part of editing. It involves removing a lot of duplication. Then you have to pay an editor to tell you which need to go back in to make sense. I really don&#39;t believe a machine AI Editor can decide what makes sense to a human reader, even if it takes less time. My book Her Borrowed Grave (Urban Fantasy with Forensics) is on track to be published in October.

*sigh* Just had a revelation. I only need to include verses of my Anglo-Saxon allerative Epic Poem that are relevant to the plot. I have an entire Anglo-Saxon allerative Epic Poem that no one is ever going to read. *double sigh*
