People on Facebook are losing their absolute minds over the idea of an all gendered toilet, and when I point out that these exist everywhere (all accessible toilets, toilets on planes, trains and buses, toilets in their OWN FUCKING HOUSES!) they are denying it. #queer #trans #toilets #LetPeoplePee #CultureWars

@aby@aus.social most of the hospitals where I've worked have a single toilet for everyone once you get away from the most public corridors (where they have more high volume multiple cubicle arrangements). It's a single occupant room with no separate wash area.

@aby@aus.social I don't understand the issue personally. I've seen uni-sex bathrooms before. It's nothing new.

@aby@aus.social I was in a Finnish university. There the toilets are not separated. Just a bathroom with stalls. At first I was confused since I didn't expect that but it was nice. Somehow the bathroom was clean and calm without anyone caring for who you are. In Germany these kinds of places are usally pretty nasty.. It didn't see a difference beyond that you can just lock your door like you can in a gendered bathroom after all.
