@aby@aus.social I was in a Finnish university. There the toilets are not separated. Just a bathroom with stalls.
At first I was confused since I didn't expect that but it was nice. Somehow the bathroom was clean and calm without anyone caring for who you are. In Germany these kinds of places are usally pretty nasty.. It didn't see a difference beyond that you can just lock your door like you can in a gendered bathroom after all.

@thaodan@mastodon.social - in my experience most office buildings have shared toilet spaces like this. It's not about toilets at all. It's about making trans people feel unwelcome to participate in society.
