  @NicksWorld@mastodon.stickbear.me - it's a culture war designed to dehumanise trans people* to the point where we can't exist within society anymore. Fascism (which is basically the death shudder of capitalism) has an aesthetic which revolves around young, strong and healthy, clearly gendered bodies, because it pushes the idea of having a family (creating the next generation of workers to exploit). Anything that pushes back against this aesthetic will be hidden (or killed)—which means we'll see decreases in funding for disabled people, more policies that keep trans people out of view (like taking driving licenses), defunding of public spaces that we access, etc. * and disabled people tbh, because the gendering of all toilets will mean a decrease in accessible toilets also
