@negative12dollarbill@techhub.social Our granddaughter was over yesterday and of course she was on TikTok and said she had just watched the video of him being shot and asked if I wanted to see it. I told her I was sad because watching that video is desensitising our youth to the violence. I explained we never saw that kind of raw violence until the Vietnam war and I’d prefer never to see it. Did you watch it? #uspol

@negative12dollarbill@techhub.social I haven't seen it either. (And don't want to. It sounds gruesome and awful.) The only social media I use now is Mastodon, and a wee dabble in Reddit, but just specific subreddits that are pretty well moderated. I use YouTube, but they'll have been proactively taking it down, and I curate my recs pretty strictly there, so wouldn't expect to see it randomly.
