@ruthpozuelo If your body is prone to stomach cramps, or maybe just doesn't pump enough blood to the digestive system during a longer run, your stomach can "shrink" for a few hours after, making it difficult to get some food in. I often have this problem after marathons or longer, especially in summer. And yes, in days following a longer run, I too eat anything and everything. :)

@ruthpozuelo Typically, folks get hungry the next day. I'm pretty typical. Done a couple of ultra races in hot temps and it did take a couple of days before I started eating.

@ruthpozuelo I have to say I am always ravenous straight after a long run - I always have bananas ready at the finish.
