Then, depending on circumstances, and further escalations that may be involved in trying to escape - especially if the family of the perpetrator has power, reach, and influence, and tries to maintain legal, psychological, financial, and physical control over their family member's victim(s) over decades - then...yes, yes, we do have everything to hide, and everything to fear. And we are criminalized, suspected, and discriminated against, for acting like we do. It shouldn't be like that.....

@itisiboller@infosec.exchange This sentence is commonly found on the net but it's really nice to see that some people of the next generation are sensitive to that and understand these concerns well enough to use this phrasing. Similarly to some other problems, people will realize too late where not enough caution led us. It's in human nature and linked to cognitive processes to be aware of the impacts of a situation only when you are facing them yourself as an individual.
