I love filling "gaps in the internet" but I must admit it felt better when I was imagining it helping future web searchers, rather than padding out the knowledge of AIs.

@philgyford@mastodon.social Oooh, I had most of them, remaindered in a high street book shop for pennies in the late 90s. Wish I could find Jargon Watch but I've still got the novels, both style guides, War & Peace, Bots & Burning Man.

@philgyford@mastodon.social I was a bookseller in 1998 running the pop science section and I have a memory of Wired being an imprint of a bigger publisher, possibly Penguin? I don’t recognise any of those titles and this is definitely a later venture, but I thought I’d throw those tired neurone records into the mix. edit: huh, they still are an imprint. https://www.penguin.co.uk/authors/282306/wired

@philgyford@mastodon.social I’m pretty sure the Hardwired edition of The Medium… somehow managed to offset the pages, so all the double page spreads were broken. I meant to check my copy, but between reading on the train and getting home I forgot.
