I gave my son access to a code generator. He made a version of tic-tac-toe where you can unlock different marks to play with, then a concept of a "bomb" where your turn destroys the surrounding marks and HOLY CRAP PEOPLE HE INVENTED A TOTALLY NEW GAME.

"Dad, your office is cluttered with toys," said my son. "What do you want me to do about it?" I said, defensively. "Get bigger shelves so you can fit more toys," he said.

The sporting good store had a SPEAR and the “machete” which is clearly a razor sharp sword. These were next to the three packs of ninja stars.

Saw a sign for 4 grilled lamb skewers for 2.5€, in Austin this would cost $37 and you would have to pay for parking

I think a lot about the pastfuture, visions of the future from the past that could have been but never were. Like, what if we traded apps on minidiscs? What if you jacked into cyberspace via a payphone? Anyways, here’s finger running on a pager:

Wow this is really neat: This code reads the camera on a mac and does a very fancy conversion to colored ascii in near realtime. https://github.com/finnvoor/mirror What just blew my mind is.. I piped the output into a text file, and was able to `cat` it back out and replay the video!! SO SO cool.

I love how many large birds of prey there are in my neighborhood. I feel like this is an indicator that the ecosystem is pretty healthy.

My teenager who says she hates school had a project titled "Pixel Park Tycoon" where she built an adventure game in scratch based on her favorite manga.

I made a video showing off the features I made for this little pager device. It has been a ton of fun exploring what it can do and building things just for myself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2DqWi4xoxA

Very pleased to release the `headroom` command which will put an animated Max Headroom directly in your terminal window so he can laugh at the ridiculous name you gave your hard disk. Instructions to install are here: https://benbrown.com/txt/read/2026-05-01 Enjoy!!!!

The new voice / same face thing going on with Stranger Things cartoon is really tough, fake David Harbour especially. But weirdly Janeane Garofolo is in half the episodes? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt27486290/characters/nm0000413/?ref_=ttfc_fcr_3_10

Today I am really excited to announce my new AI model, SKYNET. The capabilities demonstrated by this model are impossible to believe, often times rivaling or exceeding human ability. In our tests, SKYNET chose to nuke humans out of existence in 99 out of 100 test scenarios, which is why we've chosen to limit access to the new SKYNET model to a few chosen partners so that they can build the appropriate bunkers in New Zealand and/or offshore floating city sovereign nations.
