One of the great things about @weeklyOSM (the OSM newsletter) is how trans friendly they are!
I transitioned while on the OSMF Board. They asked how they should cover that, and let me write the entry¹
“One of the OSMF Board members has changed her name to Amanda McCann.”
I didn't mention my dead name², or state that I was changing genders³. 😄 There were no bros demanding some historical legacy reasons “well actually”'ing

¹ WeeklyOSM entries are short, usually just one line about each thing

@amapanda@en.osm.town @weeklyOSM@en.osm.town There's always so much more to the POI, than one tag can describe. The people at osm sound so very lovely 🫶

@amapanda@en.osm.town apparently diary entries don't have stable URLs when a username changes, and also chrome and firefox fail to fully grasp your extended grapheme cluster in the URL but not in the page name or body

@amapanda@en.osm.town @weeklyOSM@en.osm.town seems to also mean that the OSM Board is quite trans friendly. (and I love the concept that you didn't actually changed your gender :)
