² a tip for cis people: you should really really avoid using, or mentioning, a trans person's previous name (their deadname). I can't really explain it, but I (& many other trans ppl) really really don't like hearing it, or being referred to with that name. Someone gets married, and changes their name? Many don't have a problem seeing their maiden name. But for me, as a trans person, I really don't want you to think of me as that name.
