@Codeberg@social.anoxinon.de I doubt this will be supported, but just in case: is there a plan to support preemptive requests for more storage? I'm currently nowhere near the cap, but if possible (and once the grace period has ended) I'd like to preemptively request the next step up from Snowflake just in case I need more storage for e.g. website resources or release binaries.

@Codeberg@social.anoxinon.de Thanks for your notification 🥰 It became a reminder for me to squash html build report commits. This stuff sums up to a high amount of useless data over time. 1 GB repo size was already reached. Having limits is a good thing 👍 It reminds us to reduce waste of resources and to work out better solutions.

@Codeberg@social.anoxinon.de Do you (automatically and/or periodically) run ``git gc --aggressive`` on the repos? I've noticed that it can *significantly* reduce the size of the repo (f.e. one with the Linux kernel) In general, having tips/documentation how to minimize/reduce storage needs of a Forgejo instance (either hosted by you or self-hosted), sounds useful? I think everyone would/could benefit from that. Good for sustainability and our planet if we (all) use *less* storage.

@Codeberg@social.anoxinon.de To "be as frugal as possible with our computing resources" is probably good advice for everything really! We're all so used to GitHub making it easy to use resources without even thinking about it (and maybe a bit of a feeling that Microsoft is fair game for skimming a bit of cream off the top of).

@Codeberg@social.anoxinon.de are tagged release binaries deduped, if the same checksummed file exists in the repo? I've been thinking to maybe stop doing reuploaded tagged releases for https://codeberg.org/jessienab/icecat-bin since it kinda feels redundant and wasteful, but maybe I can just link to the raw release file in the repo instead?
