Hotels on #Wikidata are like books, they have a building item (like a work item for books) and at least one hotel item (like an edition). Even when there&#39;s only one hotel that&#39;s ever been in a given building (or building complex).

I wonder what future #genealogy researchers will think of our current excitement with creating AI-enhanced images from old photos. I suspect that they&#39;ll just not trust anything we&#39;ve digitized that isn&#39;t accompanied by a meaningful description of how the digitisation was done and what processing was applied. There are so many images being published these days that just invent details! The generated images are sort of interesting, but people seem to mistake them for real...

#Pagefind is pretty great! I&#39;ve just added it to a site, took all of ten minutes. (I mean, probably I&#39;ve done something wrong, but it seems to work well so far!) I had been relying on DuckDuckGo for single-site search results, but there&#39;s just so much that seems not to be indexed that way. (DDG is still the no-JS fallback.) https://pagefind.app
