  #alexanderDobrindt steht heute in der Zeitung, weil er Aussagen zum Drohnenangriff gemacht hat (die allerdings in keinster Weise zur Aufklärung des Zwischenfalles beigetragen haben). Er sollte aber in der Zeitung stehen, weil er #Israel selbst im Jahr 2025 noch in seinem Vernichtungskrieg gegen die Palästinenser unterstützt hat.   Das eine Detail aus dem Buch von Wolfgang Welsch, das mir nicht aus dem Kopf will, ist, dass er (genau wie ich) Vitamin B12-Mangel hatte, dagegen aber (anders als ich) behandelt wurde. Mein Nervensystem hat man über fast eine Dekade vergammeln lassen. Viel davon wird unwiederbringlich verloren sein.

  I think that #georgeOrwell managed remarkably well to capture the essence of a repressive and utterly nonsensical political system he encountered. I have much to learn from his remarkable analytical capabilities in this regard, and I wish I had the writing skill necessary to transform the result into a rightfully best-selling novel. For though the present unjust system has much in common with Orwell's vision, there are also many distinct differences which merit literary discussion.

For (considering the very last paragraph) if these changes in clicking sounds ARE change of "vowels", that does appear to imply that the whales ARE conveying a different message (for where in human language does an entirely different vowel mean the same thing)?   Since my comments appear to disappear on the blog of Terence Tao: I think that the recent Jacobian counterexample could have been done as a classical optimisation problem, if the search space is bounded. You just look for roots in an anulus away from a root that is kept fixed, and bound the search space. If there is a solution in your search space, and you start optimising from the right place, you basically have to find the solution.
