OMG omg I got accepted as a Fellow of my primary professional society!! 😁 (A Fellow means your career contributions are recognized, basically.)
I didn't think it would fly but it did!! I put myself forward, and asked some previous Fellows to be my references. It was shocking how hard it was for me to write that application.
😁 Many years ago, I got turned down by another prestigious professional society for membership, and that still stings! So this feels GOOOOD. ❤️
