@manchuck The entire North American economy currently does not care about “long term”. Make all the moneys now.
We are both on the side of “quality matters long term” but the people running businesses overwhelmingly do not care because their income and compensation are tied it short-term outcomes.

@grmpyprogrammer Still not an excuse. We are the ones doing the work, not the boss. Imagine you need surgery. The Dr says the surgery will take about 4 hours. 4 hours you pay for. You're about to be put under anesthesia when you happen to notice the Dr is spending a long time washing his hands and donning PPE. You yell at the Dr telling them to get a move on and stop wasting time. Is the Dr going to listen to you? No, because it's on them. They own the work, not the hospital.
