@scribblemacher I'm reminded of how long so much of the Internet went along with the claim that Castlevania 2 was supposedly bad. I'd spent so much time on that game and had loved it so much, so I knew right then and there I couldn't trust the Internet as a whole to tell if something is good or bad. It sure does get tricky these days though. Especially since so many people seem to decide whether they like a game based on hype and graphics rather than the actual game.

@nazokiyoubinbou @scribblemacher I grew up with Castlevania 2 and loved it. Beat it many times as a kid but looking back I can understand some of the hate. The translation is lackluster & not very helpful and some of the puzzles are completely obtuse. I probably never would have beaten it if not for Nintendo Power. Aside from the translation & some of the cryptic puzzles however, it was a ton of fun. Great graphics, great music, fun gameplay & an atmosphere like no other game at the time.
