The fact that the Good Law Project won their legal challenge against the trans guidance the EHRC tried so hard to ram down the country’s throat hasn’t been reported widely. So here is GLP’s own message to supporters. Remembering that the EHRC is still captured by GCs their forced rework may still be a dog’s breakfast. In my view the Commission should be disbanded and rebuilt afresh from the ground up. It’s the only way to disinfect an ideologically captured body. The fight’s certainly not over.

@christineburns With the EHRC ideologically captured and Phillipson also being a transphobe, I think we not only need the disbandment of the EHRC but also the current equalities Brief in Government, and the whole edifice rebuilt. It is beyond reform at this point.

@christineburns I can’t help wondering about the timing of the announcement. Ideally the statement was simply made as soon as they had the amended code but it’s possible it was timed to be made during the local election campaigns so that Labour could announce that the matter is “settled” without attracting any negative publicity. Being a half full glass kinda girl I’m hoping that means that the Times and the Torygraph are going to loathe it.
