@christineburns I can’t help wondering about the timing of the announcement. Ideally the statement was simply made as soon as they had the amended code but it’s possible it was timed to be made during the local election campaigns so that Labour could announce that the matter is “settled” without attracting any negative publicity.
Being a half full glass kinda girl I’m hoping that means that the Times and the Torygraph are going to loathe it.
