@normjess@tech.lgbt This is already a defacto crimes, as the CPS has long since advised that of you are trams, have sex with someone yet don't tell then your are trans, that can be treated as a crime if the third party find out your are trans after the fact and claim they would not have consented if they had known. @SecondUniverse@autistics.life

In this matter I agree with London Trans+ Pride. Pride is a protest, a riot, and always has been and as such I think political parties have limited if any rights to be at Pride. The same should go for corporates, the Police amd other state bodies. It should centre communities and civil society, with the vulnerable group ALWAYS at the centre of Pride. More broadly the socilialist left does have significant problems where the trans community is concerned, amd needs to start listening to us, which...

@adele@social.treehouse.systems Fortunately Bavaria, for all that it is a very conservative and Catholic state, is much more live and let live than TERF Island. People just do not stick their noses into other peoples business the way Brits do! Indeed, the only time I have ever had anyone look at me with diagust on the S-Bahn was from a Brit, and more cool her as she tried to get dirrctions from a German, all in English of course, ton which the German feigned an inability to speak English even...

@adele@social.treehouse.systems I was in Glastonbury which you might expect to be progressive, hippy and right on. I got misgendered and subjected to abuse every other day, and didn't relax until my tyres hit the French roads and I was on my way back home. And when the AfD is less scary (as in I have had to walk through a crowd of AfD at one of their protests) than a Labour Government, then we know we are in trouble.

@adele@social.treehouse.systems The situation on TERF Island right now is terrifying, so much so that I haven't been there in about four years. I do not see anything changing for at least the next six years. We must do everything we can to fight this, and for me that means not giving quarter, at all.

Yvette Cooper is the new Health Secretary. Her opinions regarding so called Transgender Issues are mixed, on the one hand she has previously supported the issuing of passports with an X marker for enbies. On the other hand she has refused to declare that trans women are women. I await to see what happens after her obligatory reprogramming by GenCrits ...

@Serena@lgbtqia.space I sometimes think the peak of good scifi was the 90s and 00s. I mean, yes, current scifi is often visually stunning, but it is too often narratively weak. Fantasy is much the same as well. The bright spot is Star City.

This morning I woke up to a modicum of better news for once, as it would appear that fhe media, including queer media, has misreported the recent BMA Review into the Cass Report amd is, in fact, highly critical of it. Coming as this does while I am off sick with depression due to the recent eaving through of the EHRC code by Phillipson this offers at least some evidence of the way the media is fudging its reporting to support its anti trans agenda. As to how much difference this will make in ou...

From Good Law Project: "Dear Alexa, It’s discriminatory and unworkable, but the government’s new code of practice comes into force in three weeks, it was announced today. This statutory guidance segregates trans people and risks outing them. It will increase harassment for cis women and the pressure on already inadequate disabled facilities. But our appeal against the EHRC’s interim guidance could make a huge difference. A result in that case would apply to workplaces as well as service...

Is it possible to grasp just how big a snowflake a religious group had to be, to complain about being offended by art on display at a building that was deconsecrated nearly 90 years ago, and has spent more time NOT a Church than it did AS a Church? And yet we are allegedly the ones who are snowflakes! Methinks the Christians doth protest far too much here ... Comment from queer punkt de Even here in allegedly progressive Germany we have trans people who are vile TERFs and side with the very people trying to eradicate them, and us, from existence, and thus celebrate the trans genocide currently unfolding on TERF Island. @mina@berlin.social It is still in use. According to the Cambridge Dictionary a pupil is someone being taught by a teacher whereas a student is an undergraduate or graduate studying for a degree. So pupil should be used for those learning at primary and secondary level with student used for tertiary level.
