I had to look up 'enhanced games' Back in the day, someone suggested that people should read a lot of science fiction books so they'd be ready for the changes the future would bring. I should have read no science fiction, because I am constantly being disappointed by what people decide to do with tech.

You don't really want stuff on a bingo board that's framed like "this doesn't happen", like "US will not pass a law for real AI safety". On this board you have 3 things that would only ever be marked off on the 1/1/27. That's not good design.

Well, my predictions are much more personal, so they really shouldn't have major consequences for others. I'm predicting, assuming I do end up going to an anime convention with a college club I'm in, that I might have a partial fursuit by then, even if it's just a premade that's probably only made whenever the maker receives an order off their etsy shop. It's either that or, depending on a few things, gonna end up being a used one from a site I can't remember the name of, if I can find a partial that fits me. Lots of ifs. That, and that I finish the first 4 chapters of a Summer Camp Island fanfiction I am rewriting. The original was all over the place, so I didn't get very far. Lots of bad writing and terrible stereotypes. I'm in the middle of working on the 2nd chapter ( chapter 1 and a chapter not based on any episode is complete ) and it's already feeling like I won't even finish that any time soon. Gotta set obtainable predictions, which is why I have the second prediction.

The Australian government will do nothing of note, because the scapegoating of the prime minister by the press wasted all of the government's political capital that they were saving up for some big swings. Combustion engine cars become basically irrelevant outside of the US, Canada, and EU. Because if a country doesn't have a domestic car industry then cheap Chinese ev's are just better. In Australia you can see quite a lot of them. For a big swing, I'm going with Trump dying. He's pretty old, does not live a very healthy lifestyle, and he's got some pretty rabid followers. I'll hedge my bets and say Trump or Musk.

Man, the IOC and WADA are super corrupted organizations, but I don't think that the "Enhanced Games" are anything close to the right solution to that problem. Doing the wrong things and claiming the right reasons...

Would the army actually split threads with Erdoğan over this? I'm not even sure if it would even hurt the establishment if something other than Erdoğan won at this point, why would it trigger a civil war?

I would also love to hear more! I have very little understanding of Türkiye but I thought Erdoğan's position was secure. Is the breaking point Kurdistan? Inflation? NATO/Palestine/Ukraine?
