@elfin Exactly. If a website says "disable your ad blocker or register to read this article," I'll take a hard pass. If it wanted me to subscribe, it would let me sample their wares. Not buying an empty brown paper bag full of promises. Reminds me of a series the NYT did several years ago, in its pre-firewall days, about how to protect your privacy while online. To read it, you had to disable your ad blocker AND other privacy extensions. Not on your life.
