@christineburns we've recently got Solar panels and the last few days have seen us use about 10p worth of power over the whole Day. My battery is 75% charged already at only 08.45..

@christineburns Congratulations on finishing the level “autarkic electricity.” Now up “autarkic water.” It's something that few people have on their radar yet.

We put in 28.5kw of battery and 4.8kw of solar in 22, the most we’ve managed off grid (elec) was two weeks and that was running an EV and a PHEV too. We’ve got a heat pump going in later this year and another 4kw solar and likely another 17-24kw of battery.

@christineburns that's great news. We'll have solar and battery installed in next couple of months. Also looking at wind turbines to provide boost in winter months.

@christineburns Very cool, congrats! What size battery you need for that?

@christineburns Isn’t it lovely? I only have a few hundred watts of solar at present but yesterday I returned to a boat with a full battery and it just feels like free money

@christineburns If you have access to hourly kWh data from your solar and your house, you might be interested in reproducing this spreadsheet. It will tease out a truer picture of the seasonal variations. I can help. https://energyasicit.ca/solarPVpaper2/
