@yacc143 @christineburns As a society, we certainly need to up our game with water management. Domestic and commercial consumption of water is very extractive without much regard for management. Reservoir construction hasn’t really happened in decades and water companies are busy shitting in the waterways we have. Government could at least mandate that each new build house must have at least 250litres of rainfall storage, as a minimum. This would also mitigate flash flooding to a minor degree, if also managed with attenuation methods. Grey water usage tech should also start featuring in domestic & commercial properties.
