I am in a fantasy pro football league and a college one and I have the most points scored against me in both. I am going to add hashtags so I can block myself on this as well, I don't enjoy it either. #nfl #ncaa

ABC rewriting history from a conservative view: "The 2025 loss of three lower house seats — including Bandt's — showed the limits of a strategy that had produced spectacular gains, even as the party's national vote barely moved." No, wrong - that showed the limits of being the third party in a preferential voting system. The same electoral processes could just as easily rip seats away from Labor and Liberal in future.

I have some respect for Alan Kohler's economic journalism. He should probably stick to that. "New life form" "other intelligence" blah blah https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-10-05/is-artificial-intelligence-a-new-lifeform/107226762

And when I click on the link, I am logged out and can't log in anymore? Honestly, if this can't be fixed it ruins Mastodon for me.

#unstream took a back seat this summer, but once my kid is back in school I'm going to pick it up again a bit. The releases feature is a bit buggy but getting close, and I'm thinking of adding a way for artists to set a preferred store. I'd still like to add a patronage feature. I also need to be better about promoting it & such. It does seem like the browser extensions are being used though which is cool!

Very excited about this: #faircamp 2.0 is out 🎉 Can’t wait to update the lightbulbs archives (my self hosted music site) and play around. https://faircamp.org/changes/2.0.0/

Unstream has been free (minus my time) to keep running, but as it grows in usage & features I’m bumping up against some of the limits of free services. So I set up a Ko-fi page to make it easy for folks who want to help keep it alive (and/or support other things I do). If you like what I’m doing, I would be grateful for your support: https://ko-fi.com/bgreenlol

I decided to go all-in on #faircamp for https://kidlightbulbs.com. It's now just a simple little place to listen to everything I've done and a few links (oh and a couple of li'l tweaks that were surprisingly easy to make) Looks good, I think

adding artist bios to #unstream soon! if you have claimed your page & added one, it'll show that; otherwise it will pull from bandcamp or wikipedia (plus other sources if folks have suggestions!)

😭 Just finishing up our exploration of Blackcomb and Whistler mountaintops and it cracks me up how touristy Whistler is compared to Blackcomb! 😂 Unless you’re down to do some serious hour+ hikes, go to Blackcomb—much prettier and much more to see with less trouble. 🥰

As you can see… I was SO excited (after days of rain) that the sky cleared today for a gorgeous day of hiking both the Blackcomb and Whistler mountaintops! Getting up there on the gondolas was such a wonderful way to go! #mountains #hiking #gondola #forest #canada

Here’s an extremely frustrating situation I’m running into now, with all the over-saturation of the musical streaming universe. I’ve been having this problem for the past maybe 5 years or so, and I finally got an answer (by a very helpful AI chatbot of all things; humans have just never gotten back to me when I sent in emails): When I release (on my own, without a formal label) a new or remastered track or album, my music always gets flagged by the automated ID system of the big platforms, mea...
