反知性主義―アメリカが生んだ「熱病」の正体― https://www.shinchosha.co.jp/book/603764/ 読んだ！ #読書 現在の日本における「反知性」とは、知性的なことに何でも反対する態度という意味で使用されるが、元々は現代アメリカ社会を分析するために使われてきた用語であり、ややニュアンスが異なる。 本来の意味での反知性主義とは、知性と権威が結びつくことへの反抗であり、元を辿ればピューリタン的な宗教観に由来した徹底的な平等主義がある。 という内容の本で非常に興味深かった。 国民性というのはその国における宗教観と強く結びついてるものなんだなあと感じた。 私は宗教に詳しくないので、◯◯教といったら一枚岩のように感じてしまうが、どの宗教もそれぞれの国や文化と影響を与え合い、土着化していくのが当たり前ということに全く思い至らなかった。
