I joined the Fediverse before Vivaldi did. But I also had a Vivaldi account before Vivaldi joined the Fediverse. Ultimately, that is how this account came into being.

For 3 months I ran an experiment:
Hello Fediverse, meet Tom.
Tom dislikes hate speech, homophobia, transphobia, racism, and sexism. They openly oppose discrimination, segregation, inequality, hate crimes, and war crimes.
Tom does not debate or argue with anyone on social media, choosing to avoid conflict altogether.
At most, Tom may occasionally post a link to a well-documented scientific journal or an established long-term study — sticking solely to facts without sharing personal opinions. Additionally, they share no personal views on politics or religion. All of their content is original, and they post nothing generated by AI. In fact, they have never posted a single photo or video.
Yet, the "Tom" account has been suspended by several administrators.
Why?
Because on the Fediverse, you can be the ideal citizen, posting nothing controversial or offensive, and a random admin can still decide that all 10,000+ of their users shouldn't know you exist.
This is the central problem with the Fediverse. Because most people are not nearly as "perfect" or as "dull" as Tom.
The experiment is still ongoing.
