@ConspiracyOfCartographers@mastodon.social It's so good. And the sequel - I know not everyone agrees, but for me, it's even better. <3 I _know_ it makes even less sense and that's part of why I love it so. (Most critically, it never crosses the line into simple randomness.) #monsterdon #TheAbominableDrPhibes

@crowbriarhexe@tech.lgbt @ConspiracyOfCartographers@mastodon.social Oh, _there is_. There is a sequel, and it's wonderful! #monsterdon #TheAbominableDrPhibes

@crowbriarhexe@tech.lgbt @ConspiracyOfCartographers@mastodon.social Just that I adore it, in part because the murders are even artier, heightened and the world even more abstracted. I see these as horror comedies and (maybe accidental) art films, and the second turns it up without - for me, at least - tearing it. So they're both great, but the second is just a little better. ^_^ #monsterdon #TheAbominableDrPhibes

Ahhh, such artful murders. Tho I must admit, I do think the most elegant was the frog. #monsterdon #TheAbominableDrPhibes

that's not, strictly speaking, how floors work #monsterdon #TheAbominableDrPhibes

Tho' f'reals if you haven't seen The Abominable Dr. Phibes yet you ABSOLUTELY SHOULD stick around for the double-feature. Does it make sense? No! Is it glorious? Yes! #monsterdon #TheLastManOnEarth1964 #TheAbominableDrPhibes
