Sure, I learned to code because I love cajoling a computer into doing what I ask it to. It's empowering. I think it also helped me learn to communicate better. Really, though, my favorite part of learning to code was helping my classmates learn to code. It never gets old. I approve followers cuz I'm the only me.

There's some nuance missing here. There are two main reasons these folks work for the government.
Latine folks who work for #CBP, #ICE, etc. consider themselves #Americans, and their attitude tends to be similar to #suburban #white / #anglo #Texans; they are #legal. They are nth-generation Americans because where their ancestors lived became part of the #US — especially in #Texas #Florida, #California, #Arizona, and #NewMexico.
The other reason is that people from many South- and Central-American countries fall under the Latine/Latinx/Latino/Hispanic umbrella. Folks with Mexican heritage can totally want to deport gamg members from other Spanish-speaking countries.
It's a self-image thing. You and I and the US Census may consider them to be Latine, but they see themselves as Americans.
I'm not excusing anyone. #ACAB
This is part of the 1% agenda of creating division.

"Black Texans Don't Owe [us] James Talarico"
https://youtube.com/shorts/7Fe1t03U1iI
A lot of individuals and groups decided that Jasmine Crockett was not electable.
Why do they think that? Because, while they *personally* don't consider themselves as engaging in #racism, they are absolutely convinced that *all* the rest of #Texas is *sooo* #racist and #misogynist that they'd *never* #vote for a #Black #woman.
Do they even hear themselves?
They are confessing their inability to figure out how to talk to fellow #Texans about the ways in which electing a #Democratic candidate who happens to be a Black woman will make their lives better. And they're trying to figure out how to get Black Texans to support Talarico.
The first step to solving any problem is to identify it. The problem is, all y'all don't listen to Black Democrats.
