The Afghan Red Crescent distributed 3,000 fruit-bearing saplings to 600 vulnerable farmers in the Baharak and Eshkamesh districts of Takhar province as part of a climate change project.
Each farmer received five fruit-bearing saplings to support agricultural development and provide assistance.
The Afghan Red Crescent strives to create opportunities for self-sufficiency among vulnerable farmers through ongoing support in the agriculture and livelihoods sectors.
