  1. Had the day off today, the culmination of a 4-day weekend.

  2. Only 4 workdays this week (I swear I don't hate my job, but everyone needs a little time off from time to time).

  3. Took a great tour of the #StLouis Public Library's Beaux Arts Central Library. Thanks to Kurt, our guide, and Scott in Special Collections. Highly recommended if you live in #TheLou or visit.

  1. Had the day off from work (and it's payday).

  2. Spent most of it at the #StLouis Art Museum, for Free Friday. Saw the "Ancient Splendor: Roman Art in the Time of Trajan" exhibit. Really beautiful and interesting.

  3. A late lunch/early dinner at our favorite neighborhood tavern. Great burgers and fries.

  1. Got a sneak peek at the McDonnell planetarium's new projection system today, due to the fact that the company for which I work funded it. If you live in or near #StLouis, or visit, make sure you see it.

  2. The St. Louis Astronomical Society with special telescopes set up with which you could safely look at the sun. We saw sunspots and coronal mass ejections, so cool.

  3. A bit cooler today, and no rain.

  1. Saw a specialist about a nagging medical issue. He was very nice, easy to talk to; I think I may be close to getting it resolved.

  2. Had lunch at Gioia's Deli (a #StLouis legend). A roast beef and hot salami sandwich with #provel - yum!

  3. Had the rest if the day off, so I got a lot done: grass cut, dishes washed, clothes washer cleaned, other odds and ends.

My Frankenstein swarm trap might have a swarm in it, but a tornado producing storm cell is about 10 minutes out. So I threw a ratchet strap over it to the shed roof and I'm crossing my fingers. I'm not sure there is but Melissa observed 50+ bees around it so I'm securing it. Stay safe everyone! #beekeeping #StLouis #Missouri

Main Man by Oliver Sain, released on Abet in 1972. Oliver Sain Jr. (March 1, 1932 – October 28, 2003)[1] was an American saxophonist, songwriter, bandleader, drummer and record producer, who was an important figure in the development of rhythm and blues music, notably in St Louis, Missouri. He set up his own recording studio, Archway, in St Louis in 1965, and recorded and produced artists such as the Montclairs and Julius Hemphill, developing "a distinctively full, dynamic sound that would come to help define the St. Louis soul aesthetic."
