I did end up getting my replacement #SteamController delivered while I was a way on vacation. I’m a fan for #LinuxGaming. It is perfectly compatible, and feels and performs great. Bummer that my first one was broken out of the gate, but hopefully that’s just teething issues. Got my Steam Controller. First experience in Linux is one of frustration. It appears in KDE controllers, but doesn't appear in Gamepad Webapi testers. I downloaded steam and started a game, it didn't work. I fiddled with "layouts" for couple of hours, nothing. Then I found out that holding the hamburger turns on gamepad mode in *desktop*. That solved most of things. Suddenly it worked in webapi testers and in-game (Ascent). #Steam #Linux #SteamController

So one of the concerns i heard about the #SteamController is its size when in reality it is about the same size as all as thenother "standard" console controllers that are out there already. I have caught my self checking a few times when playing because it feels real good and I am thinking this just feels like a "normal" controller but with some wanted touch pads. Which os exactly how i felt with the #SteamDeck. I think for sure this controller is easily my new "main" controller for playing games. I need to find a game where the grips stuff makes sense because thats the one feature so far that i have yet to really try. ​:SteamController:​
