RIP Afrika Bambaataa Afrika Bambaataa was one of the early leaders & innovators of hip hop and is perhaps best known for taking Kraftwerk's electronic pulse & reshaping it into the global (and early) hip hop hit Planet Rock (I still have my original Tommy Boy 12" bought on a trip to the States); just genius.
