It's the #ReMonsterdon watch party's first spooky month of October! The #ReMonsterdon collection on NeoDB #Monsterdon & #MonsterdonDoubleFeature are doing all #VincentPrice films, but: #ReMonsterdon sticks to the #Monsterdon back catalog for its choicesthere is not yet enough Vincent Price in the #Monsterdon back catalog to have a month of him in #ReMonsterdon Instead we'll have a combination of alternative ideas raised in the threads below. Original thread"Opposite of Vincent Price" thread So here's the #Remonsterdon program for the month of October 2026 (start time for all: 7pm GMT, 9pm C. Europe, 3pm US ET) (The first film already in the #ReMonsterdon collection, I'll add the rest as I get links.) 4 October 2026Mothra vs Godzilla (1964)TrailerBecause: Nothing do with Vincent, just because the 1st Sunday of every month is Godzilla Sunday! (If only Vincent had done a Godzilla film...)11 October 2026The Gorgon (1964)TrailerBecause: If not Vincent Price, then let's have a film with the remaining two members of the 1950-1980 triumvirate of horror: Peter Cushing AND Christopher Lee!18 October 2026Cat-Women of the Moon (1953)TrailerBecause: contrast-programming: the opposite of Vincent Price (one lovely, cultured man from Earth) is multiple ferocious women from spaaaaace!25 October 2026Blacula (1972)TrailerBecause: contrast-programming: has "perennial fall guy" Elisha Cook Jr, nominated as another "opposite" of Vincent Price. #WatchParty #Horror #SciFi #MothravsGodzilla #Godzilla #Mothra #Toho #Kaiju #HammerHouseOfHorror #HammerFilms #PeterCushing #ChristopherLee #Gorgon #TheGorgon #CatWomenOfTheMoon #Blacula #Vampire #1950s #1960s #1970s #50sMovies #60Movies #70sMovies

@combatwombat@hachyderm.io @Terencio@mastodon.social I see that Cat Girl, Cat-Women of the Moon, Devil Girl From Mars, & Invasion of the Bee Girls were all nominees for #WorstMonsterdon Dec 2025 https://eggplant.place/collection/1O0GX5CoRESB9Ag8dLaPfD Don't know if that's a plus or a minus! 😄 I also wondered about films with a female alien antagonist that DON'T have "woman/woman/girl/s" in the title, like Queen of Blood. But a quick skim indicates QoB is the only one #ReMonsterdon #Monsterdon

#ReMonsterdon #Monsterdon

@Terencio@mastodon.social @combatwombat@hachyderm.io Hmmm... Maybe mix it up. Start with a kaiju (1st Sunday is Godzilla Sunday), then a Cushing film, then a space woman film, then... I dunno. Laserblast on repeat for 6 hours until #Monsterdon starts? #ReMonsterdon

@combatwombat@hachyderm.io @klu9@ohai.social #monsterdon #remonsterdon "Perhaps some contrast programming. The opposite of Vincent Price. Peter Cushing (who often played the monster hunter, whereas Price is often a villain)" Contrast programming is a good idea. But wouldn't "the opposite of Vincent Price" be something like: women from outer space?

Internet Archive collection with 952 sci-fi & horror films, ranging AFAICT from 1919 (Das Kabinett des Doktor Caligari) to 2011 (The Shadow People) (mostly US & Euro, some Japanese) https://archive.org/details/SciFi_Horror Includes many already seen in #Monsterdon & all those we're going to see in #VincentPrice Month Ooh, even has a horror pilot hosted by Price & directed by #BertIGordonhttps://archive.org/details/famous.ghost.stories.1961 #InternetArchive #SciFi #Horror #ReMonsterdon

Both #Monsterdon & #MonsterdonDoubleFeature are doing #VincentPrice this October. What about #ReMonsterdon? As ReM is only films shown before in #Monsterdon, that really limits options. The Tingler: already shown in ReM, 21 June 2026 The Last Man on Earth: already picked by M for this October The Raven: oof, I sat thru that once (M, 3 Aug 2025), not again! Leaving only... The Pit & The Pendulum (M, 19 May 2024)? Am I missing any other Vincent Price films shown in Monsterdon?

Announcing already the "Democracy is Overrated" edition of Monster Sunday (no pesky poll results to wait for!)
