Ich werde auf den #CCC #Datenspuren in #Dresden einen 2. Vortrag halten. Neben den kryptographischen Grundlagen der verschlüsselnden Dateisysteme werde ich auch zu Reproducible Builds und Supply-Chain-Security sprechen. Neben den #SLSA Anforderungen werde ich auch ein paar praktische Erfahrungen aus dem #NetBSD Projekt und vom #TorBrowser vorstellen. Außerdem natürlich was #SLSA #Provenance von #SBOMS/#CBOMS unterscheidet. Ich beginne um 19 Uhr, also direkt nach dem Sandmännchen. #Introduction New to Mastodon. Not new to this problem. I work on provenance architecture — copy-only ledgers that stop if a record can’t be classified or verified. Identity and history have to stay with the data, or the model stops matching what it represents. I use that on digital twins of physical assets, and when systems hand work off. We resolved the dependency trees of 34 of the most-used npm packages (484 packages). Under 1% run install scripts, but only 21.5% publish build provenance: 78.5% ship with no verifiable link from the package you install back to the source and CI that built it.
