Standing on guard for thee includes standing up against governments that collude-with and capitulate-to enemy states and corporations. https://youtu.be/6V-nlIv561c #OCanada #CdnPoli #AbPoli

"Let's keep our land glorious and free." Why do I sing Let's instead of God? It's not because lots of us don't believe in gods. It's not because many of us believe in different gods. It's because none of us should expect any god to do something that we ought to be doing ourselves. So, let's keep our land glorious and free. #OCanada #CanadaDay #HappyCanadaDay #GloriousAndFree

The Woman Who Inspired 'O Canada' On June 24, 1880, 'O Canada' was first performed at the Congrès national des Canadiens-Français in Quebec City. The French lyrics by Adolphe-Basile Routhier were inspired by his wife, who reportedly exclaimed "O Canada! Mon pays, mes amours!" upon seeing a beautiful Canadian landscape. The song became the official national anthem only in 1980. 🎵 🇨🇦 #Canada #OCanada #NationalAnthem https://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/o-canada
