"Once a generation feels they have no agency in their future, that’s a hard mindset to change, she says. 'And I think that's really terrifying for the future.'" #NeoliberalParadise doesn't care Work hard and success will follow? Gen Z aren't buying it https://www.1news.co.nz/2026/08/09/work-hard-and-success-will-follow-gen-z-arent-buying-it/

RE: https://mstdn.moimeme.ca/@EdwinG/116991683853710272 It’s nearly impossible to believe that the slow collapse of our Canadian healthcare system is anything but intentional; as much as provincial governments of all political stripes claim to care about wanting to solve the problem they’re all failing us. And our Federal government turns a blind eye while provinces run roughshod over the Canada Health Act. If ever there was a project in the ‘National Interest’ you would think it would be the health and wellbeing of Canadians, but here in #NeoLiberalParadise, if it doesn’t generate a profit then it has no value, apparently. The US for-profit model is no panacea; they pay the highest costs for some of the worst outcomes in the world; this is not an example we should be looking to emulate. Somehow we need to get the message to our ‘leaders’ that the current situation is unacceptable, and that their political future depends on them finding real solutions to this crisis. #CDNPoli #CDNHealth
