#luks

I wish #KeepassXC had #LUKS 2 like slot based encryption so you could have a #fido2 with pin in a slot to easy acces while having a password file for recovery etc. also i wish it had proper #fido2 #hmac extension based unlock instead of current security key support so you could use auto deletion on failed attempts and use a pin with low entropy safely and do user verification on high end security keys

Replying to @millihertz@oldbytes.space
@millihertz@oldbytes.space It takes a reasonably modern CPU to run #Luks at an acceptable speed. Building a system without full-disk encryption these days feels like negligence. But a machine modern enough to have fast crypto instructions will also have the unfathomable complexity that presents a huge attack surface.

A little tip to anyone use #bluetooth (not custom wireless) keyboard and using #LUKS disk encryption. If you cannot enter the LUKS passphrase at boot, it is because the Bluetooth module and connection are not activated yet. To fix this, create /etc/dracut.conf.d/bluetooth.conf file and put this line on that file: add_dracutmodules+=" bluetooth " Don't forget to regenate your #initramfs by: sudo dracut --regenerate-all --force Tested on #fedora 43
