📡 Remembering the RAF Stenigot dishes, Lincolnshire They were constructed in 1959, during the Cold War. The site became part of the ACE High communications network. The station was decommissioned in the 1980s, and by the mid-1990s most of the base was demolished. Three dishes scrapped in 2018. As a photographer based in Lincolnshire, I feel I shouldn't ignore the Lincolnshire marshes. But they are a very difficult area to make interesting in a photograph.
