The LibDems are aiming (if they get near the lever of political power) to end the freeze on income tax thresholds (a policy shared with ReformUK Ltd).... and would aim to fund this through the 'dividends of growth' driven by re-joining of the EU by 2037. Leaving aside how this would be negotiated, they need a plan to make up the shortfall in tax income in the interim; so more borrowing? credit creation? or more austerity? Oh wait don't they have form on austerity? #politics #LibDems h/t FT
