I have interacted with Knoebels various times through the years and saw many presentations where Dick was one of the presenters but back in 2018 I had a chance to talk with him directly for a bit. He was one of the most incredible people with a passion for his park and the industry in general. Celebrities pass and we post things about them but despite the fact that he probably wouldn't have known my name this loss feels like a real gut punch to me.
