This evening's protest for Palestine at Assen railway station. As usual we met to try to inform people as they passed through the railway station. There were banners, leaflets and we were singing songs of peace and solidarity. Israel's genocide of the Palestinian people continues while most of the the world looks away. Tonight's demo in Assen railway station for Palestine and Gaza. On the last Thursday of the month we read names of the people who have been killed by the Israelis as part of their continuing genocide of the Palestinian people. A lot of people wait and listen, take information and promise to boycott Israeli goods. Protesters inside Assen's railway station tonight. It's the last Thursday of the month so we read the names and ages of Gazans who have been murdered by the Israeli state. In an hour we can only read a tiny fraction of the names. The list becomes longer each week. People stop and listen. Names of children and babies provoke more emotion, but all the deaths are tragic. People of all ages are killed for no reason other than that Israel's terrorist regime does not value Palestinian lives. Passers by take information about the calls to boycott products and services from companies associated with Israel.
