Hello, Mastodon! A slightly late #introduction 👋 I'm Alena. I research and write about art, historic cities and the stories attached to objects and places, with a soft spot for the Middle East and North Africa. I lived in Istanbul for several years and now split my time between Doha, Dubai and Egypt. I co-founded Exhibo, a global art gallery and culture platform. Expect jinn, carpets, film deserts and the odd etymology. #ArtHistory #IslamicArt #Folklore #Museums
