I think I chose the wrong book to listen to at the moment. There's enough to feel bad about without reading such history. "The Underground Railroad" by Colson Whitehead. Well written. Too well. Returning it unfinished. #dnf #EllieKPosts #didNotFinish #iAmReading #IAmNotReading

What are you reading currently? #IAmReading I'm currently reading The Sisters Brothers, by Patrick DeWitt. It is a funny and clever cowboy noir. Definitely recommend. Thank you Mike and Ellen! And what do you have on hold? I'm only listing the newest additions to my hold list: MISERY'S WIFE, Joan Tierney. Queer, climate fiction, based on a folktake, with a trans protagonist. FISHBONE CINDERELLA, Elizabeth Lim. Historical, heart wrenching, w/ magic. BIOLOGICAL WAR: A SCENARIO, Annie Jacobson HEART THE LOVER, Lily King. Sequel to WRITERS AND LOVERS. WILD DARK SHORE, Charlotte McConaghy. I will read anything she writes. YESTERYEAR, Caro Claire Burke. Because everyone else is reading this. #books #bookstodon @bookstodon@fedigroups.social
