I've had my (used, 2024) Kia EV6 Wind all-wheel drive car for a little over a month, and I bought it with the understanding that its range was 282 miles. Well. The first thing I discovered was that an 80% charge gave me an estimated 315 mile range. Last night I charged the EV6 to 100%, and I had an "eco" (rear-wheel drive) estimated range of 407 miles and a "regular" (all wheel drive) estimated range of 395 miles! My "Emporia" brand home level 2 charger can provide up to 48 amps of charging at 16 cents a kilowatt-hour. My EV6 has a 77.5 KW battery pack, so a zero-to-100% charge costs $12.40. I suspect an internal combustion engine car with a 400 mile range would cost $50-60 to fill these days. I am very happy with my Earth Day purchase. #ev #ev6 #homecharging
