I am working from home. The weather is pleasant so I have the window open. A child's shout goes up from next door's garden: "Mum!" "What's going on?" "Tell her." "Tell her what?" "Tell her to stop annoying me!" It is only 9:37 on the first day of the school holidays. When do the kids go back? #GrumpyOldMan

I outed my usually inner grumpy old man this morning and told off a schoolboy on the train for having his bag on the seat beside him. As usual these days the trains are very crowded and people were standing. I felt a bit bad for him afterwards, but I can't abide those that 'seat hog' this way. #TrainLife #GrumpyOldMan
