Looking north along Hutcheson Street to the former Hutcheson Hospital in the Merchant City area of Glasgow. This is pretty much my view for the next three days as I again have a stall at the Wilson Street Makers Market today, Saturday and Sunday 12 noon until 6pm selling the usual Glasgow-themed books, print, cards, coasters, fridge magnets, badges and tote bags. #glasgow #merchantcityfestival #makersmarket #glasgowtoday

I went to check out Little Book Transfers' exhibition at the Grateful Gallery in Glasgow today, and ran into this little fellow, who's adopted the gallery as a cool place to hang out. That's me all set up for my pop-up stall in the St Enoch Centre today, with lots of Glasgow-themed goodies featuring some of my favourite photos. It's beside the lifts at the east end of the centre. This is not a good scene to wake up to, but at least no one in the building or any firefighters were hurt. The neighbouring Central Station, a key element of Victorian Glasgow and an important hub for modern communters, is closed, but is hopefully unharmed. #glasgow #glasgowtoday #fire #unionstreet #glasgowcentral

The view down Renfield Street to Union Street in Glasgow this morning. After yesterday's fire, the familiar dome of the 175 year old Union Corner building is gone, as is the facade which once stretched down Union Street to Caledonian Chambers (where there is a side entrance to Central Station).
