If you're looking for something to watch, try "Ultraviolet" (1998). It's a British TV show about a cop who gets drawn into a secret world of leeches called "Code 5's"; they manipulate society and prey on human beings. As part of a small cadre that is run by a priest and loosely connected to the Catholic Church, they hunt down Code 5's and eliminate them–to the extent that they can. Code 5's can't really die.
You may have guessed that "Code 5's" are better known by another name, but that name is never used in the show. It's a nice touch.
A young Idris Elba is a •particular• standout in the cast. You can watch the show for free online or download it from the Internet Archive.
