#ToddBlanche’s confirmation hearing to become the 88th attorney general of the United States began with #Senate #Judiciary Committee #ChuckGrassley, #Republican of Iowa, welcoming him & giving opening remarks, followed by the tanking #Democrat on the committee, #DickDurbin of Illinois.
Durbin’s remarks were worth hearing, the rest not so much. Grassley’s were prebuttal & defensive, Blanche’s were all lies.
Sadly Durbin is retiring. He’s very good, but he is advanced in his years.
