L'uomo, un 35enne proprietario del cascinale, era solo all'interno dell'edificio in ristrutturazione, quando, secondo una prima ricostruzione, ha sentito dei rumori. Uscito nel cortile, avrebbe esploso nel buio alcuni colpi di pistola. Un colpo ha raggiunto uno dei ladri, uccidendolo. L'uomo ha poi chiamato i carabinieri. I sanitari del 118 hanno provato a rianimare il ferito, ma non c'è stato nulla da fare. Il 35enne ha raccontato di aver sentito dei rumori intorno alle 2.30 del mattino e aver visto un gruppo di 4-5 uomini che stavano entrando nella sua proprietà e aver esploso un colpo con una pistola semiautomatica in suo possesso. La vittima, 30-40 anni, è in fase di identificazione in queste ore da parte dei carabinieri del Reparto operativo di Cuneo che stanno interrogando l'autore dello sparo.
